Very Large Array Radio Telescope

Strange anomaly captured
with a Sony DSC H1 5.1
megapixel digital camera.

This ghost photo was taken by Dr. Sharon Gill of ghostweb@direcway.com at the Very Large Array Radio Telescope at the National Radio Astronomy Observatory complex in western New Mexico on November 6, 2005. The black anomaly is not a bug, as it has no wings. Notice the bottom photo and the rings of energy surrounding the core of this anomaly when the colors are equalized. This photo was captured with a Sony DSC-H1 5.1 megapixel digital camera at f8 using aperture priority setting. What is it?
