Rhyolite, Nevada is one of the few ghost towns with much of its buildings still standing. This was a boom town when silver was discovered in the area. Photo 2 is the old bank building which is rumored to be haunted by a women in white.
The ghost town has been taken over by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and is a protected site by the Federal Government. No relic hunting is allowed. Rhyolite is located about six miles from Beatty, Nevada.
