These photos were taken in the old mining town of Oatman, Arizona, home of the wild burros. We visited this place in January, but it was crowded, so we thought that December might be nice and we were right. Business is very slow in December for the town's merchants so they discount almost everything for sale. The weather was sunny and the burros were friendly and approached almost everyone looking for a hand out. The first two photos were of the Black Mountains that we passed over to drop down into Oatman. We found a couple of needed items and saved a few dollars on the purchase. Friendly people made the adventure even nicer. No one was in a hurry and we just missed the town gunfighters who are called the Ghostriders have a shoot out on the main street. (The town only has one street!) Yes, that is Sharon in the first photo in the second role. She has a white sweater on and is talking to that nice old man.
