Debb said, "My brother passed away a few months ago and this is the first picture taken in my Mom and his house since then. I am attaching the photo that was taken on Christmas Eve 2005. It was a sad eve for myself, my mom and my daughter but I decided to take a couple of pictures of my daughter there. We were the only ones there. Just as I tried to take the first picture, my batteries went completely dead (they were new), so I quickly changed them and focused the camera on my daughter. As I looked through the viewfinder, a mist and shadow appeared over my daughter's shoulder and I thought I saw the image of my brother behind her just as I snapped the picture. Also, at that moment, a mist of color swirled down in front of her, and up beside her. This is what I caught on film. I was not using a flash. Your opinion would be greatly appreciated."

Dr. Dave's Notes:
As an ordained minister, I believe that ghosts are the departed souls of those who have lived and died on the earth. I do not accept the Christian idea that ghosts are demons, there is no scriptural reference to substantiate that claim, if one goes back to the earliest Aramaic Biblical text. The Aramaic language was the language of the Hebrews and the language Jesus spoke. The early Aramaic text says nothing about the current Christian description of demons. Demons are a creation of the Church starting in the Middle Ages. I believe that some departed souls may return at will to visit loved ones, such as in the photo above, while others may be anchored here because of their reluctance to release negative emotional baggage. Death does not mean all of your negative issues are abandoned, but rather those emotional burdens continue with that soul until he or she can let go of them and move onward.
