Mesilla Cemetery is a very lovely cemetery. The cemetery is surrounded by homes and orchards. It is a peaceful cemetery, but many of the graves are broken and no repairs have been made to them.  It is sad to see how little respect there is for the dead.  We wonder what stories these souls might tell. Many were pioneers and early settlers of the region, yet they were not the wealthy or the famous, but the backbone that made up the pioneer spirit.
