Canyon D'Chelly

This ghost photo came from John & Kathy Willems of mumbo@mcn.org.

Kathy said, "I finally got up the nerve to send this. I took it in 1993, March, in the afternoon in Canyon D'Chelly, Arizona. We were on a 7 hour horseback ride, and after 4 hours, deep in the huge canyon, the guide, Navaho, said this was a sacred spot known as meeting of the clans area, and a shaman spot. I asked permission to photograph it. That was the only time in 120 shots that I aksed permission. Of all 120 shots, taken with an old Nikon 35mm, no flash, this is the only one that seems to have an otherwordly image. We were at the base of a canyon several hundred feet high all around, no way was it sun glare."
