Old Agua Caliente

These ghost town photos were taken by Dave and Sharon of ghostweb@ghostweb.com on January 18, 2002 at the site of the old Agua Caliente between Yuma and Gila Bend, Arizona. This was a stagecoach stop on the way to Yuma. The twenty-seven room hotel was next to a hot springs.

The town no longer exist today, except for these few adobe and stone ruins. The hot springs were once used by the local Indians as a healing site, but farmers in the area drained the water for their fields and the hot springs went dry. Progress marches on, but at what expense?
