Gettysburg Ghosts

These two ghost photos were sent by Bob Wagner of BMW253@aol.com.

Bob said, "In regards to the first photos, it was a calm, cool October night, about 48 degrees, and on or very near full moon. I went to Gettysburg alone that night. About 8:30 I headed for The Triangular Field. As I got out of my vehicle I saw two fellow ghost hunters headed in the direction I was about to go. The one I already knew from a former meeting at Spangler's Spring the other I did not. Introductions were renewed and exchanged in the dark and off we headed down the sloping field."

"Two digital cameras were in use and 2 35mm film cameras. We slowly walked quietly chatting and taking pictures. With the digital cameras the pictures are immediately viewable on a screen on back of the camera. After about 15 minutes of snapping pics and getting nothing with the digitals and no positive readings with the thermal scanner I ask one of my fellow hunters to tell a ghost story. This has worked before, seems the spirits like a good ghost tale to. Upon completion of the tale or shortly thereafter we all began to detect a sweet burning smell. We checked the wind, there was none, not even a breeze. The weather was not cold enough yet for someone to be burning a wood stove. Besides there were no buildings anywhere near. None of us were smoking."

"There were no other people around. This smell lingered for several minutes. During this time the thermal scanner picked up some readings down in the middle teens. Remember the ambient air temperature was about 48 degrees. During the time of story telling and the smell of the sweet burning scent in the air several anomolies were captures with the digital cameras. One of the best paranormal shots I have taken is included with this text. Could that sweet burning smell have been that of pipe tobacco. Maybe the last smoke of a dying soldier that didn't complete the charge up that bloody hill known as the Triangular Field. The second photo was taken at Sachs Covered Bridge. Notice the rope-like anomaly!"
